Arnos Manor Hotel, situated in Arnos Vale, Bristol, is said to be haunted by the phantom of a nun. This ghostly figure is reportedly seen in room 160, with numerous guests and staff members claiming to have encountered her presence. According to local legend, the nun fell pregnant while working at the hotel's chapel, which was once run by nuns as a local school. The story goes that she took her own life to avoid scandal, and her body was bricked up in an alcove by her fellow nuns. The skeleton was later discovered during repairs after the hotel was damaged by a bomb in WWII. Since then, a figure in brown, believed to be the phantom nun, has been spotted roaming the hotel, particularly in room 160.
