Camelot Castle Hotel Hotel
Camelot King Arthurs Castle Hotel, Tintagel, Cornwall, PL34 0DQ
3.5-star (Historic castle hotel)
Camelot Castle Hotel is renowned throughout Cornwall for its paranormal residents - three mischievous spirits who have made the hotel their permanent home. These playful entities are known for their distinctive pranks, including knocking paintings from walls, upturning bins throughout the hotel, and most remarkably, waking guests in the night to provide unsolicited 'bed baths'. The ghostly activity appears to be concentrated in guest rooms, with recent reports from Room 221 describing pillows being forcefully pulled from beneath sleeping guests' heads. Beyond the hotel itself, a fourth spirit - a former employee who died in the 1940s - is regularly seen walking the path between the hotel and his former cottage. The area's connection to Arthurian legend adds another layer of mystique, with the legendary Merlin reportedly residing in caves beneath nearby Tintagel Castle, occasionally emerging to speak in unknown tongues.
